OCEAN SPRAY DEBUTS FLOAT AT MACY’S THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE®

James Taylor to Perform “America the Beautiful”

LAKEVILLE-MIDDLEBORO, Mass (November 6, 2008) –On Thanksgiving Day, Macy's will welcome an Ocean Spray float to its lineup – joining a staple of the Thanksgiving meal with a holiday institution. On November 27, 2008, millions will gather to view the beloved balloons, fabulous floats and multitude of performances that will fill the streets of Manhattan on Thanksgiving Day.

Many say that cranberries were served at the first Thanksgiving in 1621. Commemorating this special feast, Ocean Spray’s float will honor the first Thanksgiving meal, hosted by an adorable array of woodland creatures. The float titled “Woodland Family Gathering” includes a 16-foot tall goose, 12-foot tall beaver and 5-foot tall mouse and other woodland friends gathered to enjoy the bounty of the Thanksgiving harvest among 10-foot long ears of corn, pumpkins, squash and delicious cranberries.

To continue the celebration of the cranberry as a classic American fruit, beloved singer-songwriter and Grammy Award-winner James Taylor will perform “America the Beautiful” aboard the float.

“One of the original purposes of Thanksgiving was to celebrate the bountiful harvest season, which is an idea close to the heart of Ocean Spray, as we’re owned by a family of hard-working, passionate growers,” said Ken Romanzi, chief operating officer of Ocean Spray. “We’re proud to be a part of this year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and bring the sentiments of the holiday alive with our float.”

“Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and Ocean Spray are both part of iconic Thanksgiving traditions,” says Robin Hall, executive producer of Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. “We’ve worked closely together to ensure that the float will be a memorable one – filled with joy and overflowing with color and fun. It’s sure to delight the millions of both children and adults viewing the Parade in New York and at home Thanksgiving morning.”
